Company profile. International Software Solutions (ISS) was founded in 1987, and is a privately-owned Limited Partnership US company which specializes in software development, especially in the OS/2 and the communication arenas.
ISS' headquarters are in Nevada and the main research and development laboratories are located in the South East of France (Grenoble). There are three distribution subsidiaries based in England, France and Germany.
In 1990, ISS delivered PolyPM/2, the first graphical remote control product ever designed for OS/2 and its electronic desktop: Presentation Manager.
Today, ISS' award winning product line renamed Remote Services Management (RSM) has more than 250,000 registered users worldwide. RSM is the strategic communication tool for some of the largest companies in the world of Banking, Insurance, or Travel, as well as in corporations with large, complex and heterogeneous LAN-WAN environments.
To answer the growing needs for Remote Computing, ISS has established privileged technical relationships with Business Partners such as IBM, Compuware and ICL. ISS also maintains strong commercial agreements with Distributor Partners such as SBT in Australia, Mensys in The Netherlands, PolySoft in South Africa, PC Security in Scandinavia or SCA in the US.
ISS has experienced tremendous growth; in 1995 the gross revenue for the ISS group exceeded US 5 M$ which represents a 65 % growth over the previous year.
The ISS' current developments in the area of multiple native 32-bit operating systems (OS/2 for PowerPC, Windows/NT, Windows 95) will help to reinforce the RSM's market leadership in providing LAN-WAN management and Help Desk open solution.
ISS provides the RSM product line as classic standalone packages or DUA (Duplication and Use Authorization) Licenses to End Users and Corporate, as well as via technology transfers to OEMs for complete integration in their own products.
