2.2 Software requirements

To install Warp Server on OS/2 Warp 4, you need two products (and two licenses):

• OS/2 Warp 4

• OS/2 Warp Server Version 4 Entry or Advanced

From OS/2 Warp 4 we will use the base operating system and all components that come with it. From the networking part of OS/2 Warp 4, we will use only the Multi Protocol Transport Services (MPTS) and the TCP/IP component.

From the OS/2 Warp Server 4 package, we will use the following components:

• File and Print Server

• HPFS386

• Netfinity TME-10 Server

• Remote Access Server

• TCP/IP DHCP and DDNS Server

• PSnS

We will not use the OS/2 Warp 3 base operating system on which OS/2 Warp Server is normally based. We will also not use the PSF/2 component of Warp Server, because it is not supported on OS/2 Warp 4.
