10.1 Installing PSnS

Besides creating the product diskettes and then installing them, we only found one other way to install PSnS from CD: using the integrated installation that comes with OS/2 Warp Server.

If you start WSCONFIG.EXE from CD, the installation procedure will try to create a response file on the read-only CD.

The Installing IBM OS/2 Warp Server window appears as shown in Figure 68.

The following window shown in Figure 69 is just for informational purposes and does not have to be filled out in order to proceed.

The window Advanced Installation Warp Server Setup and Installation appears (see Figure 70).

The Configuration window will apear as shown in Figure 71.

Two information windows will appear that you have to confirm. Then the installation program will automatically shut down your system.

After a manual restart the installation will continue automatically and eventually perform another reboot. If you have a SCSI tape drive attached to your machine you will notice three lines about the initialization of the SCSI tape driver during startup. After startup the installation is complete.
