Information
An actual migration from an earlier version of OS/2 to OS/2 Warp 4 with Warp Server is not supported by IBM. Instead, we suggest that you back up your vital data, format the installation partition and restore your configuration. Therefore the prerequisites for the update are almost the same as for a new installation.
In addition you will need LAN Server Management Tools (LSMT), which can be found on the IBM internal OS2TOOLS tool disk. If you don't have access to OS2TOOLS, please ask your IBM representative. For our testing, we used the LSMT203 PACKAGE. Normally, you can use the tools which are shipped with the OS/2 Warp Sever product - PREPACL, BACKACC and RESTACC, but we recommend the LSMT.
