12.8 Updating NetFinity

To update Netfinity and keep the previous configuration, you must complete the following steps:

• Save the *.INI files from the \SYSVIEW\BIN directory:
  • ALACTION.INI

  • MONCRITF.INI

  • MONSCH.INI

  • MONTHR.INI

  • NETDOM.INI (by manager)

  • NETMGR.INI (by manager)

  • NETNODES.INI (by manager)

  • PROFILES.INI (in this case, but normally NO)

  • SECIN.INI, SECOUT.INI (by manager)

• Install NetFinity as described in Chapter 9. NetFinity.

• Restore the listed above INI files to their original location.

• Reboot the system.
