TCP/IP is a multi-layered network transport protocol that comes with a set of applications that can be used to communicate between computer systems, regardless of the software platforms on which those systems are based. It is not a single protocol, but a family of protocols that work together with the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and the Internet Protocol (IP), among others

TCP/IP can be installed during the installation of Warp 4 by clicking on the appropriate check box during the installation of the networking part (see section 3.2 Installation Phase II - GUI Installation).

This chapter describes how to install the TCP/IP base kit from the OS/2 Warp 4 CD. It also describes, how to install the DHCP and DDNS server from the TCP/IP package that comes with OS/2 Warp Server.
